Painting the Roses Red
The whimsical design is inspired by the Painting the Roses Red scene in Alice in Wonderland and the costumes in the horse racing scene in My Fair Lady. The colour palette matches a playing card deck. Using advanced draping techniques, the garment features a cowl neck, with a unique overskirt and a layered underskirt. The overskirt was created to mimic a rose and has over 20 yards of boning inside.
Materials: Polyester satin, silk, taffeta, mesh striped fabric, boning
